This is the addendum to songs to sleep on. This collection of songs is the “sound journal” I kept during my Senior year of high school—a period of time I wrote about in A Little Pink Pill...— as well as a couple of other rough pre-drowse songs, which I made for an experimental music and film class towards the beginning of college. These recordings are really bad/lo-fi (they were all recorded on a built in computer microphone), and it is embarrassing for me to put them out, but I think they will serve as good companions to the EP and memoir.
In high school if I had a particularly rough or emotional day I would go to my room and improvise or write a guitar based song and record it on the spot. I would then (sometimes) mumble over the music about how I was feeling. The first five tracks here are these ramblings collected.
The last two songs here were made for the aforementioned class. In this class we were asked to make some sort of music every week and do a final music or film based project. The song “dream” is one of these weekly projects and “drone” is my final for the class and the first “drowse-sounding” song I made.
